Responsible Gaming
At Gates of Olympus Slots AU, we are committed to promoting safe and responsible gambling. Gambling should always be an enjoyable form of entertainment — never a way to earn money or escape personal problems.
Know the Warning Signs
Problem gambling can affect anyone. Early warning signs include:
- Spending more money or time gambling than you intended;
- Gambling to recover losses ("chasing");
- Neglecting work, family or personal responsibilities due to gambling;
- Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when not gambling;
- Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling;
- Hiding gambling activity from family and friends;
- Using gambling as a way to cope with stress, depression or anxiety.
Tips for Responsible Play
- Set a budget: Only ever gamble with money you can afford to lose. Set a strict limit before you start and stick to it.
- Set time limits: Decide in advance how long you will play. Use an alarm or timer to remind you.
- Take breaks: Regular breaks help you stay in control and make rational decisions.
- Never chase losses: Trying to win back money you have lost almost always leads to bigger losses.
- Avoid gambling when emotional: Do not gamble when you are stressed, depressed, or under the influence of alcohol.
- Balance gambling with other activities: Ensure gambling is not the only leisure activity in your life.
- Use demo play first: Familiarise yourself with any game using our free demo before playing for real money.
Self-Exclusion and Tools
Most reputable Australian online casinos provide responsible gambling tools including:
- Deposit limits: Set daily, weekly or monthly deposit caps.
- Loss limits: Cap the amount you can lose in a given period.
- Session time limits: Restrict how long you can play in one session.
- Cool-off periods: Take a short break from 24 hours to 6 weeks.
- Self-exclusion: Permanently or temporarily block your account across participating operators.
